Kim Fowley invited Robert Plant to attend this concert. According to Jackie Fox, numerous backstage photographs of Robert Plant with The Runaways were taken for publicity purposes, partly to generate additional press coverage and partly to counter rumors that Joan Jett and Cherie Currie were lesbians. As a result, Joan and Cherie received most of the attention during the photo session and were frequently photographed alongside Robert.
