Television played an important role in introducing the band to new audiences and capturing moments of their career that continue to fascinate fans decades later. Whether performing live or miming to their latest single, these appearances remain an important part of The Runaways' story and offer a unique glimpse into their evolution between 1976 and 1978.
Appearances are organized chronologically and grouped according to the album era in which they took place. Each entry includes all currently known information about the broadcast, together with recordings, photographs, and other related material whenever available.
This archive focuses exclusively on The Runaways' musical television performances. For that reason, only appearances featuring at least one live or mimed performance are included. Interviews, promotional features, rebroadcasts, and repeat airings are intentionally omitted.
Documented appearances
No television appearances from 1975 or the first half of 1976 are currently known. The band's first planned television performance was scheduled for the Dutch music program TopPop during their first European tour in October 1976. However, the appearance was cancelled at the last minute after the band's arrest in England forced the cancellation of several European concerts and promotional commitments.
