Info:
A Sadie Hawkins event is a school dance where girls take the initiative by inviting boys to be their dates, turning the traditional dating roles around. These events typically feature music, dancing, and other social activities. The Runaways performed during the school's Sadie Hawkins celebration.
According to the June 1976 issue of Creem, Queen drummer Roger Taylor and a friend tried to get into the concert but were turned away by the school's teachers and principal. Taylor's friend pleaded with the principal to let him in, explaining that Taylor was a member of Queen. A school official reportedly replied, “I don't care if he's in King. You have to leave or I'll call the police.” Taylor and his friend eventually left without seeing The Runaways perform.
